Custom Raven Mandolin Pre-Order Deposit

$3,000.00

Please note this listing is for a custom-made Raven mandolin which has yet to be built. Turn around time is currently 3-6 months. You can choose below whether to pay the full cost ($6,000) up front or a deposit/down payment of half the final price ($3,000). We recommend paying the down payment price, in which case you will receive a final invoice once the instrument is completed and ready to ship.

The total cost, including standard ivoroid binding and mother of pearl inlays, with quality Rubner tuners and a brass tailpiece. (The price also includes an extra 3% to cover credit card fees. Shipping costs will vary depending on your location and will be added to the final payment.) Other custom options may cost more. Contact me with details if you have specific requests and I will let you know if this affects the final pricing.

The Raven is a new Kettler Mandolins design that brings its own unique new look and sound. The deep, dark colors and the new designs on the scroll and fretboard extension all evoke the instrument’s namesake bird.

With its sound holes moved toward the upper part of the top and a new bracing pattern, the instrument has a richer, more vibrant bass without losing the characteristic volume and sustain Kettler Mandolins are valued for.

The design also features two sound ports on the side, giving the player a more direct, intimate interaction with the instrument as they play.

Tops: Sitka or Adirondack spruce

Backs/Necks/Sides: Curly, Fiddleback, Quilted or Birdseye maple

The instrument you are ordering has not been made yet and will take 3-12 months to complete depending on my current work load and the details of your custom instrument.
